Dr Thomas Ramzy is the Principal Dentist at Bay Central Dental. He trained in pharmacy and dentistry at the University of Sydney, and believes good dentistry is about making people feel safe, understood and cared for every step of the way.
Dr Ramzy went on to complete a Master of Science in Oral Implantology at Goethe University in Germany. He enjoys helping people who are missing teeth, or tired of loose dentures, understand every option before making a decision.

Here's exactly what happens at your free in-depth implant consultation.
I sit down with you personally to hear what's bothering you, what you'd like to fix, and any worries you have, including cost.
I check your teeth, gums and bite, and review your medical history and medications. With a pharmacy background, I take this part seriously.
We take a CBCT 3D scan and intraoral scans, so we can see your bone, nerves and sinuses in detail before anything is recommended.
I show you the scans on screen and explain what's possible. That might be a single implant, a bridge, full-arch treatment or another option.
You'll get a treatment plan overview with the full cost and payment options, so there are no surprises if you decide to go ahead.
Then you go home and think it over. There's no pressure to decide on the day, and no obligation to proceed with treatment.
A CBCT scan and digital scans show us exactly what's going on, so your plan is based on detail, not guesswork.
Local anaesthetic is used for every implant procedure, and sedation options are available for suitable patients who feel nervous.
We explain every option and its cost in plain English. You take the time you need, with no pressure to proceed.
Interest-free payment plans from 2 to 24+ months are available through Afterpay, Zip Pay and Zip Money for eligible patients.
Our Woolooware Bay Central clinic is designed to feel relaxed and welcoming, with modern technology and a team that takes its time.
The area is numbed with local anaesthetic before we begin, and we don't start until you tell us you're comfortable. Sedation is also available for suitable patients. Some tenderness and swelling for a few days afterwards is normal, and we'll give you clear aftercare instructions and check in on you.
Most adults with one or more missing teeth can be considered for implants, but it depends on your jawbone, gum health and medical history. That's why your consultation includes a 3D CBCT scan. If implants aren't right for you, or you need extra treatment first, we'll explain that honestly and talk through your other options.
The honest answer is: it depends on how many teeth are involved and how your jaw heals. Healing usually takes around three to six months, and you may have temporary teeth during that time. Most patients have several visits, from consultation and planning through to placement and fitting your final teeth. You'll get a clear timeline at your consultation.
With good home care and regular check-ups, implants are designed to be a long-term solution. The crown on top may need replacing over time due to normal wear. Smoking, gum disease and teeth grinding can all affect how long they last, so Dr Ramzy will talk through what's realistic for you. Individual results vary.
Your Implant Consultation is FREE, normally $[TBC]. It includes a 3D CBCT scan, intraoral scans, a full assessment with Dr Ramzy, and an overview of your treatment plan, including your options and costs. If you'd like to go ahead, interest-free payment plans are available for eligible patients. There is no obligation to proceed.
Your final crown, bridge or full-arch teeth are custom-made and shade-matched to your surrounding teeth, and shaped to suit your face and bite. Dr Ramzy will show you what to expect at your consultation, so you can make your decision with realistic expectations. Individual results vary.
Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before proceeding, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner. Individual results may vary.
